The pharmaceutical journal Chemist+Druggist published by CMP Medica has conducted a survey which shows that many pharmacies in the UK are “very concerned” about the problem of sourcing particular medicines. Many of the pharmacies reported that they were out of stock on certain medications and the drug which was most often reported as being out of stock was none other than the weight loss drug Xenical made by Roche.

The weight loss drug Xenical is one of the most effective obesity treatments on the market today and works by removing some of the fat absorbed naturally by eating. People who use Xenical absorb around a third less fat when eating a balanced healthy diet.
The well respected journal Chemist+Druggist which was first printed in 1859 surveyed over 150 pharmacies right across the UK and their results show that more than 50 percent of the pharmacies said that they were short of up to twenty medicines and a further 25 percent saying that they were short of between twenty and fifty medicines. The report showed that over half of the pharmacies had sometimes waited three days for emergency stocks of medicines to be delivered.
At Ukmedix medicines are delivered to your front door the next day by the Royal Mail which is one of the big advantages of using an online pharmacy as opposed to the traditional high street type. It is also possible to get the address of the pharmacy which issues the Xenical or other medicines using the Ukmedix Pharmacheck system. Ukmedix can source medicines from different UK licenced pharmacies to ensure that stock shortages never affect their customers.
With the growing popularity of online pharmacies and their superior efficiency which leads to lower costs and therefore lower prices for the customer it is possible that someday high street pharmacies will be something of the past.
Xenical along with Reductil are the two best selling prescription weight loss medications in the United Kingdom at present.
