The weight loss drug Xenical made by Roche has undergone a slight label change to include information about the extremely rare cases of liver injury in patients taking the drug. The American Food & Drug Administration who have been conducting an ongoing review of Xenical decided to warn about this despite only thirteen cases of severe liver injury being reported with Xenical users over the last decade.

It is estimated that over the last ten years around 40 million people have been prescribed Xenical and so the figure of thirteen cases of liver injury is extremely minimal. The FDA also pointed out that they had not established a link between Xenical and liver injuries but just to be on the safe side they have decided to warn about it.
You should also be aware that people who use Xenical are normally obese and obesity is a major risk factor for liver injury. The recommendations included telling your doctor if you experience any symptoms of liver complications such as appetite loss, light colored stools, jaundice or dark urine when using Xenical; however you should immediately tell your doctor if you experience any of the above even if you are not using Xenical.
The point we want to make at Ukmedix News is that you are far far more likely to suffer from liver damage and practically every other illness there is by being obese, rather than by using Xenical. Of course you should be aware of the side effects of Xenical but don't let them put you off using it because obesity is far more dangerous.
At Ukmedix News we have seen how obese people make pretty pathetic excuses about why they don't want to lose weight and the last thing they need is someone to tell them to stay away from a tried and tested weight loss drug like Xenical because of some obscure side effect.
