many people use Xenical because they are contraindicated for Reductil

The US Food & Drug Administration has issued urgent warnings regarding fake versions of the weight loss drug orlistat which have been sold all over the country.  From preliminary testing it shows that the orlistat which is found in the low dose type of Xenical (Alli) has been replaced with the active ingredient of the weight loss medicine Reductil namely sibutramine.

The Food & Drug Administration said that a conscious effort had been undertaken to make the tablets look like they really were the real Alli orlistat drug but that there were slight differences in the code numbers, the way that the expiry date was written and other things that would only be noticeable by an expert pharmacist or the manufacturers themselves.

This case shows exactly why you should always get a prescription for your medication because by getting one you safeguard yourself from illegal and dangerous fake medication which could actually kill you. What makes this example so despicable is that many people use orlistat deliberately because they are contraindicated for the use of Reductil. The fact that they are actually taking the active ingredient of Reductil (sibutramine) without knowing makes it doubly dangerous.

When you take Reductil you should always make sure that you check your blood pressure at regular intervals however if you are unaware that you are using it and you think you are using Xenical you will obviously not take your blood pressure and this could lead to dangerous health problems.

At Ukmedix News we hope that the American Federal authorities catch the perpetrators of this heinous crime and put them behind bars. The idea that they are prepared to seriously damage people’s health and risk their lives just to make a quick dollar with no regard for the consequences means that the government needs to be tough on them.

It is estimated that thousands of individuals every year die from the use of counterfeit medication of which weight loss drugs make up a significant portion. Make sure that you get the real thing and don’t take chances. Ukmedix News uses the Pharmacheck system which allows you to know which UK based pharmacy your weight loss medications have come from.
