Your Jeans Are Better Than Weighing Scales

When you know, you know!

Do you need to really weigh yourself every single day? Some people are known to weigh themselves even more than once a day and constantly fret about their diet and exercise routines. The advice from Ukmedix News however is to weigh yourself at maximum only once a week.

Your Jeans Are Better Than Weighing Scales

The reason for this is that throughout the day your body weight fluctuates depending on many different factors such as whether you are hydrated or dehydrated, whether you have been to the bathroom or not or whether you have just eaten. If you want to get an accurate and objective view of whether you are putting on weight or not you should weigh yourself once a week at exactly the same time wearing more or less the same clothes. You should even use the same scales as every single set of scales have a slight difference which could therefore give you a misleading overall picture of your true weight.

In fact maybe you don’t need to weigh yourself at all! Probably the best judge of your weight are the clothes that you wear. By putting on a pair of jeans you get a very fair assessment of whether your waist has increased and whether overall there is more body fat around your hips and legs. There is nothing more depressing than feeling uncomfortable in your jeans and nothing more confidence boosting and uplifting then feeling a little bit of slack in the same pair.

At the end of the day Ukmedix News says ‘When you know, you know!’. You don’t really need scales to tell you whether you have put on or lost weight. When you have lost weight you just know you have, and when you have put on weight the same applies. So don’t live by the weighing scales reading but take an objective and honest overall view of how you look and feel to get the true picture.

I just love the no nonsense, cut the crap, zero bull**** attitude of these weight loss articles. If more people could understand that losing weight is more about having the right attitude rather than a meticulous adherence to a diet the western world wouldn't have a fat problem.

The reason I weigh myself every day is that I can rectify any mistake I made the day before, if I don't SEE it on the scales the morning after I indulged, I might indulge again and then be in real trouble.

I agree with you Judy, I weigh myself every day, I want to know if I have gained a lb or not, if I did not keep a tab on things I could convince myself that I am not gaining weight and suddenly find I a 20 lbs heavier.

Er Randy? You mean you could put on 20lbs and whoops you wouldn't notice. Not sure what sort of clothes you wear but I think you might notice?! Maybe you wear loose fit curtains?
