Women Say Being Slim Is Better Than Having A Boyfriend

being in good shape gave them more personal satisfaction than a boyfriend

Research just published by the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences claims that women value being the right weight more than having the right man! The research which was conducted over 24 years by the Max Planck Institute for Human Development based in Berlin noted that obesity led women to be more depressed about life than being single, and that being in good shape gave them more personal satisfaction than being in a loving relationship.

Psychologists that we have spoken to at Ukmedix News have confirmed that obese women are extremely conscious of their obesity and the stigma associated with it. Unfortunately research shows that even obese people themselves discriminate against obesity believing that it is a sign of being less intelligent, lazy and even unpleasant.

From our own experience at Ukmedix News we have seen how obesity can destroy confidence and potential in both men and women and how when they finally face up to losing weight and succeed they are transformed into outgoing and positive people.

Despite many obese people saying that they are comfortable with their weight, the fact is the vast majority of them [if not all of them] probably wish every single day that they could do something about it. They are made conscious of their size practically all the time, whether it is getting into a crowded lift, walking into a restaurant, buying clothes or just walking down the street.

We have often argued at Ukmedix News that to a certain extent obesity is a psychological battle that needs to be dealt with at an early age because if untreated it can lead to not only long term physiological problems but also depression and low self esteem.

Dealing with your obesity problem is likely to have a positive effect on practically every single aspect of your life. Whether it is your work, your love life, your sex life, your fitness, your happiness or your health losing weight will give it a boost.

I am obese and I have a boyfriend, I guess I must be one of the exceptions! I love my boyfriend and he says he does not care about my weight... I believe him but I would love to lose it.
