Ukmedix is a great beliver on keeping diets simple, practical and easy to follow. Often people are encouraged to start a diet that they see advertised that promises great and easy weight loss and this will get them excited by the prospect of easy weight loss but its the staying power of the diet that matter not the initial few days.
Often fad diets guarantee that if you take a supplement or you drink a shake you'll lose weight fast and you'll never feel hungry but do you really want to have to drink shakes for the duration of your life to keep thin? Food is one of the pleasures of life and is eaten to be enjoyed and you can eat healthily, lose weight and enjoy it too if you plan carefully, reduce portion sizes and keep exercising.
Ukmedix is aware that research shows that the more complicated the diet, the more likely it is to fail because you just find it too difficult to follow and it will leave you feeling that you wasted your time and if you signed up to an expensive diet program your money too. Diet failures often lead to discouragement and frustration which can cause a backlash and a resort to bad and unhealthy eating habits.
Ukmedix advises that dieting is not a fast fix and you need to go the length to get the prize of being slim and healthy. Ukmedix also advises against starvation diets that give you great hunger pangs as these are not feasable in the long term and will leave you feeling weak and tired and you will eventually lose your resolve to diet. If you are constantly hungry you will also be thinking of food the whole time making it difficult to concentrate and work. Don't over do dieting or you will be more likely to fail.
Plan your diet carefully and know what you are going to eat, go to the supermarket and stock up with healthy foods and get rid of all temptations at home so that you don't get ideas of midnight snack binges. Buy lots of fruit and if you feel hungry just grab an apple and keep yourself occupied so that you can't think of food too often.
Exercise, exercise, exercise....! Even if it is a 20 minute walk round the block make sure you do it daily. It'll make you feel better, burn off calories and increase your metabolism. Find some exercise that you enjoy, maybe a game of squash or a walk with the dog and make sure you work up a little sweat. Think of the end results, imagine yourself slim and thin and don't get discouraged.
Plan the diet around foods that you like and it'll be easier and don't completely cut out one type of food type. Asking yourself what foods you really can't do without and give yourself a treat every now and then to lift your spirits up, but don't over do it!
