Weight Loss Lies And Myths

Muscle is muscle and fat is fat

Years of research at Ukmedix News have helped us to cut out the crap and cut to the chase when it comes to weight loss.  We have seen how so many people continue to spout out complete rubbish when it comes to methods of losing weight and other things like diet and exercise. Unfortunately being overweight not only has an effect on the body but also can have a detrimental effect on the way you think too. Many people take comfort in weight loss myths as a way of dealing with the negative psychological effects of obesity.

Weight Loss Lies And Myths

For example how many times have you heard that if you work out a lot in the gym and then stop working out all the muscle you build up will immediately turn into fat? This is one of the most repeated exercise myths which is such a load of rubbish that at times we want to shoot the people who say or write it.  FACT: Muscle is muscle and fat is fat and they can’t just change their molecules into something else in the same way that silver is silver and gold is gold.

Another weight loss fallacy which tons of people ascribe to is that carbohydrates make you fat. They focus so much on how bad carbohydrates but conveniently forget that they are eating copious amounts of fat. A typical ‘low carb disciple’ will not eat pasta but instead will have twice as much fatty protein which will have a larger calorie count. There is truth in that many processed carbohydrates do have a large amount of calories however like anything else if eaten in moderation will do you no harm and in fact will do you good as part of a balanced diet.

Another much repeated weight loss myth which is making the rounds at the moment is that all herbal slimming products are safe because they are natural.  At this point would like to point out that even the Black Mamba snake’s venom is natural and so just because it is herbal and natural does not mean that it is safe. A huge proportion of ‘natural’ weight loss supplements are in fact laced with powerful prescription medications or even illegal amphetamines which might make you lose a little weight but will probably do a lot of harm. If you do want to use weight loss medication make sure it comes from a doctor and it has a UK pharmacy prescription with it. With anything else you could be taking a big risk with your health.

Always use your common sense when it comes to weight loss.

Love the article!

I have another one;

It's a myth that cardio and special exercise is needed to lose fat. If it were true, only those doing cardio or those special exercises would be lean.
