Ukmedix News is happy to report that the libel case that was recently instituted by Kate Winslet (a member of the Ukmedix Healthy Hall Of Fame) has been settled in her favour. The curvy actress that we love at Ukmedix News was awarded £10,000 libel damages that she generously donated to a charity that looks after men and women who suffer from eating problems like anorexia and bulimia.

The famous actress who shot to fame in the blockbuster film Titanic has always been a supporter of healthy eating and sensible weight loss. She was furious when it was reported by a magazine called Grazia that she had been to see a “diet doctor”. She claimed that the magazine had made her look like a hypocrite as it was insinuating that she had a problem with her weight when she clearly did not.
Kate has been very vocal in her opinion of actresses that starve themselves to look super skinny which she says sends out a very bad message to teenage girls and other weight conscious people. Kate Winslet calls her curves… “natural, womanly and real” and said that that other women who are like her should be happy with the way they look and should not be forced by unreal media images to starve themselves to lose weight. Kate is a great inspiration to women who feel that they are under big pressure to shed pounds and become unnaturally thin for their body type.
Judge Eady declared that he was satisfied that Ms Winslet had not visited the doctor for any weight loss advice but had just gone to see him so that she could receive treatment for a neck injury. The doctor Yi Pan is famous in Hollywood for treating celebrities who want to lose weight. The magazine Grazia has published a full apology for the article and said that they admired Ms Winslet for being comfortable with who she is.
