Spice Up Your Food

Make a conscious effort to savour the flavour of each and every bite

Have you ever eaten a substantial meal but despite the fact that you feel full you do not feel satisfied? This can happen if you eat a boring and tasteless meal which gives you no enjoyment whatsoever.
Fresh research that we have seen at Ukmedix News shows that by adding spice to your diet you are more likely to leave the dining table feeling content and not wishing that you could eat more. The researchers said that extra spices can even strengthen your muscles, accelerate your brain power and generally in prove the way you feel about eating.

Spice Up Your Food

The research that was published in the British Journal of Nutrition saw that when women were made to add 2tsp. of red pepper to their daily meals they ate considerably less. The researchers even suggested that you should put a little bit of hot chilli sauce on your breakfast!

At Ukmedix News we would even suggest that you go one step further and you make sure that every meal that you eat has a certain amount of ceremony to it. This means that you mustn’t just grab a sandwich on the go and wolf it down but make a conscious effort to sit down and savour the flavour of each and every bite of whatever you are eating. Take time over eating too as this will give your body time to react to the food and so that you will start to feel full before you finish whatever you are eating.

One of our writers at Ukmedix News uses a particular trick to get more enjoyment out of what he’s eating. What he does is use a very small knife and fork and eats very small mouthfuls so that the meal lasts a longer time and rather than ten massive mouthfuls of food he draws out the eating experience into 20 or 30 individual mouthfuls.

Food is there to be enjoyed and the longer you take to eat your meal the more you will enjoy it.
