Are You An Apple Or A Pear

Men should also be particularly aware of their stomachs...

A lot of women wish that they were able to lose weight in one or two parts of their body. Some women claim that when they put on weight they put on weight on their face, others say it goes to the backside and others said they put weight on their stomachs. Different people different shapes.  Where you put weight on could be an indicator as to what diseases you’re likely to get if you do suffer from obesity.

Are You An Apple Or A Pear

Researchers have noted that on the whole for women there are two different body shapes, the apple shape and the pear shape. Women who carry the majority of their weight around the hip area and thighs are considered to be pear shaped. Women who carry most of their excess weight around their stomach are considered to be apple shape. If you are fat around your stomach it means that a lot of stress is put on your digestive organs and this could increase the chances of heart disease and diabetes. People who are Pear shaped do not suffer from these conditions as much as people who are Apple-shaped. Whether you are apple shaped or whether you are pear shaped cannot be determined by what you consume, it is purely a question of your genes and there’s nothing you can do about that. But what you can do is control your weight by eating sensibly and by exercising.

Men should also be particularly aware of their stomachs.  Some men convince themselves that they don’t have a weight problem because when they look on the BMI scale they realise that they are not technically or theoretically overweight. However some doctors and nutritionists have criticised the BMI scale as a means of checking for being overweight and obese because it is not always accurate. If you have a large stomach and your BMI is within normal weight levels do not think that you do not have health risks because you certainly do. Excess fat in any part of the body is not good for you and you should strive to lose it.
