In the United Kingdom a doctor may well face a ban on practicing medicine because he is accused of having failed to properly warn patients about using a potentially extremely dangerous weight loss pill.

The medication in question is Phentermine which is known to cause serious heart problems and has even caused the death of a number of people over the years. The accusations against Dr Alan Patterson claim that he did not take the blood pressure and the weight of the woman and even more seriously that he did not warn her about its lethal side effects. Not only this, but the General Medical Council also heard that he did not even inform the woman that the drug he had prescribed her was Phentermine.
Phentermine which has been banned and then reinstated over the years is an extremely controversial medicine and is only a licensed for use in extreme cases and at Ukmedix News we have heard too many bad things about this drug to recommend you taking it. If a doctor was to prescribe it for you he should monitor your blood pressure and your heart at all times to prevent you from suffering from a cardio incident. Phentermine has also been linked to erectile dysfunction, depression, dizziness, and even stomach and digestive problems.
In the United States of America the Food and Drug Administration banned the drug after it caused the deaths of a number of women. Because it is so difficult to get hold of the phentermine drug it is often sold on the internet illegally and we have even heard reports that it is sometimes put into harmless sounding and so called herbal and natural medication.
Weight loss medication is not something to be used lightly. You should be extremely careful before you try anything and never use anything unless it has been prescribed to you by a doctor. All weight loss medications have side effects and it is important that you fully understand them before you use them. The three most effective and safe weight loss medications which are licensed by the European medical authorities are Reductil, Xenical and Acomplia.
