Where a lot of people go wrong when it comes to weight loss and dieting is that they are trying to achieve perfection. When you look at your body try to be positive and focus on the good parts of it as opposed to highlighting its imperfections. You will always find flaws with your body so you should try and look at the big picture as opposed to being pessimistic and focusing on them.

Losing weight and getting in shape should all be about being positive. Think about how you’ll be able to run up the stairs when you are fit and healthy, think about how you will feel when you walk into a room of crowded people and think about how strong and mobile you will be if you continue to look after your body. Eating a lettuce leaf and starving yourself is just so negative and is doomed to failure. You must be proactive and enthusiastic about getting yourself into shape.
Think carefully about your wardrobe when you are losing weight. It is important that you dress in clothes that make you feel good about yourself and which highlight the good parts of your body. If you are attempting to lose weight it might be an idea to buy some clothes which you can aim to wear when you have lost a few pounds. It will give you an incentive and a goal to keep going.
Exercise is an extremely important part of losing weight because not only does it help you to burn up calories and get you in shape but it also has a positive effect on self esteem and confidence. Exercise in a sense is a virtuous circle which will boost your confidence which in turn will make you enjoy your exercise which should make you want to exercise even more and so on.
At the end of the day remember that as a person there is more to you then having a perfect physique. Don’t get too stressed about love handles and other tiny imperfections in your body. Enjoy your life and don’t take your body too seriously but remember to exercise and eat healthily.
