The Ukmedix News Team looks at hundreds of different research projects and scientific reports to do with weight loss and diet every week. The general opinion of the Ukmedix News Team is that diets that force you to cut out certain foods and encourage complete abstinence of what you really like to eat are far more likely to fail for you.

For example you often hear about people who have put on weight saying that from now on they will completely cut out from their diet say burgers and ice cream. This might make sense for most people but if burgers and ice cream are two of the foods that you really enjoy eating you will end up with even stronger craving for these foods than you have normally.
At Ukmedix News we would advise people who are dieting to make sure that they give themselves a treat every now and again especially if they have made some weight loss gains. There’s no way you will lose weight if you eat burgers and ice cream every single day but having a couple of small burgers and a couple of ice creams every week will not make a huge impact on your weight provided that you get a regular dose of healthy and nutritious food in your other meals and that you get some exercise too.
People who diet by cutting out all of their favourite foods often lose weight pretty rapidly in short term and this they feel is a sign that they are doing the right thing. However these people are also the people who tend to go back to the old eating habits when they have lost the weight that they wanted to lose. Feeling good about themselves they often revert back to an excessive amount of burgers and ice creams which means that eventually they put back on all of the weight that they had previously lost. This sort of yo yo weight pattern is unhealthy and not sustainable in the long term.
For healthy and consistent weight you should use the key word “moderation”. If you eat everything in moderation including the foods that you really cannot live without you should not put on extra weight and you will invariably be much healthier too.
