Far Eastern countries are becoming more vigilant with seizing illegally imported and manufactured weight loss supplements. We have been receiving reports from Hong Kong, China, India and recently Brunei that the government customs officials have confiscated dangerous and illegal weight loss medication. In the latest bust the Ministry of Health in Brunei responded quickly to an anonymous tip off by a member of the public and seized illegal weight loss drugs worth thousands of pounds.

The dangerous medications seized by the Preventive and Intelligence Section at the Ministry of Health in Brunei were Amberine Capsules, SNE Capsules, Kintop Capsules and Exel Tea all of which can be extremely harmful to health if taken by the wrong people. For example Kintop Capsules contain the prescription drug sibutramine which is the key compound in the weight loss medication Reductil. There is nothing wrong with Reductil and it has been shown to be a very safe and effective medication for dealing with weight loss, however when the Kintop Capsules are sold they make made no mention of the fact that they contain sibutramine which means that people who would be contraindicated for it have no idea that they are taking something which could be harmful for them.
If you go to buy Reductil from a reputable doctor you will be asked questions about your general health, blood pressure and various other things that could have an effect on whether the doctor will issue you a prescription. On the other hand if you use Kintop Capsules not only will you not have an idea of what you are taking but you could end up seriously ill.
The other medications that were seized haven't been clinically tested to see what they contain but it is highly likely that they consist of prescription medication that is potentially dangerous to the wrong people. At Ukmedix News we liken this situation to somebody selling you a “natural pain killer” that in fact had a high dose of paracetamol in it. While it may actually do you no damage at all and will probably be effective, not knowing that you have taken a potentially dangerous medication makes the likelihood of health problems far greater.
At Ukmedix News we have embarked on a campaign to expose the dangers of using so called natural and traditional weight loss medication. Much of it is not what it says it is and you are taking a risk when buying any weight loss aids that are not prescribed properly by a doctor.
