The patient who became ill after having used these capsules bought the drug online and she ended up with her heart beating too fast and with an irregular pattern and also she couldn’t stop her hands from shaking. It was decided to test the medicine that she had been using and hence the Department of Health realised that the product was illegal and dangerous.

Thyroid hormones are not meant to be used for the management of obesity but only if you suffer from hypothyroidism. As expected there is no record of an import license for this product and therefore it had been illegally smuggled into the country or possibly made in China somewhere.
