The wonderful things about weight loss are just too numerous to write here but how about these to get you thinking….. From the second you get up in the morning you’ll feel better. Research has proved that adults and children who are of normal weight sleep better and longer than those who are overweight and obese.
Having a shower and getting dressed will no longer be painful and demoralising experience as instead of being ashamed of your body you will instead see a healthy and virile body. Overweight people are more likely to be self-conscious about how they look and therefore will spend more time in the mirror trying to find ways of making themselves look less fat. Being of a normal weight and slim means that the choice of clothes for you to wear is much greater and therefore getting dressed is just less hassle and even fun.
Leaving for work you will have a bounce in your step if you have lost weight instead of a depressing slow and cumbersome walk to the bus stop or train. Research has shown that overweight persons are more likely to suffer depression than normal weight people.
Overweight people at work do not fare as well as normal weight people too. Research seen by Ukmedix shows that obese persons are less likely to be employed and to be promoted than their normal weight colleagues. Maybe this has to do with confidence and attitude as research also shows that overweight persons are less likely to be more confident than normal weight people and this will affect them in job interviews and in all aspects of their professional career.
So far we have dwelt on the problems of the appearances of being overweight and obesity but another real issue with obesity is that it comes with many health problems and issues. Heart disease and hypertension are two of the biggest complaints of obese people along with diabetes. Obesity is also linked to many cancers and the higher risk of many other illnesses. Obese people are likely to die younger and get more heart attacks than normal weight people.
Obese people have also seen to fare worse in Quality of Life studies when compared to normal weight individuals. These studies look at all aspects of life from health to freedom and mobility to come up with an overall picture and obese people are often far down the scale. Obese people are more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction and have sexual problems too.
It just doesn’t bear thinking about. Get in control of your life and beat the obesity that you have because over the long haul it is definitely worthwhile if you really want to have a fulfilled and happy life. Those people who say they don’t mind being obese don’t know what they are missing and how much their quality of life will improve with being healthy fit and of a normal weight.
