This simple idea could be extremely powerful in motivating you to stop eating

Ukmedix News has just learned that the actor Jon Favreau has come up with a novel and original way to keep in shape and to stop himself piling on the weight. What he does is watch films of himself when he was very overweight and focuses on how uncomfortable and obese he looks.

Look At Photos Of Yourself When You Were Fat

This simple idea could be extremely powerful in motivating you to stop eating too much and to get on the treadmill. Why not take a photo of yourself looking extremely overweight and put it on the fridge so that you are constantly reminded of the dangers of eating too much. Maybe you should put other photographs of yourself looking overweight at different places around the house such as by your most comfortable chair so that you will be encouraged to get up and go for a run or a workout at the gym.

Psychologists say that people who are successful with weight loss are those who are able to motivate themselves and who set clear goals about what they want to achieve with their diet. Having a negative reminder lying around about how unpleasant you look can be turned into a positive force for good to keep you on the straight and narrow and stop you from falling on the wayside in your weight loss plan.

Other things you can do are to focus on those times when being overweight was extremely unpleasant. Think of the time when you wanted to go for a swim but were too embarrassed to take your clothes off, or the time when you heard people muttering about your weight under their breath.

Very overweight people face constant humiliation in everyday situations and by remembering these humiliations it can act as a motivation for them to stop eating and get fit.
