An American citizen from Omaha has lost 600lb. of weight. (Yes 600lb!) The man Mr. John Lapitz said that he managed to do all this in the old fashioned way by using just healthy eating and exercise. At no time did he make use of liposuction, gastric surgery or any unhealthy fad diets. He had originally put on all this weight by compulsive eating which involved him eating at least 10,000 calories everyday. He said that being chronically overweight was extremely depressing and in his depressed date he would go on massive eating binges of hamburgers and other fast food.

When he realised that he weighed over 700lb. he began to be concerned that he would be able to walk on his own and started to reduce his calorie intake but not significantly enough to make any real changes. By chance one day he had some broccoli and really liked it and thought that he could live on it. He then started to eat other vegetables and slowly replaced his junk food with healthy eating. Getting into the vibe of healthy eating he started to move around more and eventually he started going for long walks. Soon he was walking over 10 miles a day and shunning junk food completely.
A story like this can be a great inspiration to other dieters because it shows that getting thin is not some abstract concept but the reality that can be achieved with a bit of determination.
At Ukmedix News we have seen that successful dieters are those who face reality and who are honest with themselves and with what they eat. You need to face up to facts and realise that to lose serious amounts of weight requires serious effort. Many people who are overweight have deep rooted psychological issues which they need to sort out if they are going to be successful with a weight loss plan.
If Mr. John Lapitz can do it… So can you!
