The famous UK Chef Jamie Oliver it has been very outspoken about the quality of food that is eaten by most UK citizens and also especially critical about the food that is given to children at schools. He even lobbied the Prime Minister Tony Blair to change schools menus and to educate children about healthy eating.

His latest healthy eating initiative comes in the form of a documentary called Eat To Save Your Life which will broadcast an autopsy of a very overweight man who apparently “ate himself to death”. The idea is that by showing how unhealthy eating affects the body and its organs people will be more inclined to eat healthily. Jamie Oliver said that this program would show exactly how bad the normal British person’s diet is.
Jaime Oliver will be working with the famous Dr Gunther von Hagens who will be performing the autopsy for the cameras of a man who weighed almost 160 kilos. The dead man suffered from hypertension, diabetes and eventually died from heart disease all of which was related to his excess weight.
Apparently there was so much fat around the dead man’s heart that it was difficult to even find it despite it being twice the size it normally should be, as it had grown in size from struggling to push blood through arteries, which had become narrow due to fatty deposits. You also see that the liver was hard instead of spongy due to the excess fat that it had to process.
If you need to lose weight but lack the motivation to do so maybe you should find out when this program is on and watch it. People who have already seen it tend to be shocked by the extent of the damage that obesity can cause and often adjust their eating habits considerably as a result.
