Do not forget exercise when you are on holiday!

In the summer months people tend to go out and party more often. This means more restaurants and bars. Drinking alcohol as well as being detrimental for your general health can also make you put on a lot of weight and you should be aware of this when you go out to party.

Watch Your Weight When On Holiday

There are certain drinks that you can have which have a slightly lower calorie content than others, for example white wine and clear drinks like vodka and gin have less calories in them than beer. However if you drink a lot every night you are bound to put on a little bit of weight. Make sure that you drink lots of water in between alcoholic beverages to keep you hydrated.

The other thing that happens when people are on holiday is that they eat out at restaurants all the time.  Many restaurants do not have the same attitude to low fat and healthiness that you find at home.  Portion control is essential when eating out and make a conscious point to remember what you have eaten over the course of the day to check that you have not eaten too much.

Do not forget exercise when you are on holiday! It might be impossible to go down to the gym and get a workout but if you are by the sea there is no harm in swimming out for a few hundred yards and swimming back in again. Swimming for twenty or 30 minutes every day will not take much effort and could make sure that you do not pile on the fat over the course of your holiday.

If you want to stay healthy and slim you must make an effort to watch your weight at all times and it is no excuse to eat unhealthily and forget about exercise just because you are on holiday. People who do this often end up with a yoyo style of weight gain and weight loss which is extremely unhealthy. You should try to maintain a constant weight at all times.
