Are you still going to the gym? New Year came and went and you made promises and serious resolutions and if you are still going to work out, now you probably are going to make it to the end of the year. Some big differences to your physique will have already occurred by now and you should be actually be enjoying going to the gym. You probably will have noticed that you can run up the stairs better and those simple things like going down the road to get something from the shop are not such a drag and a big deal.

Many gym converts also report that they feel more confident and they stand with better posture. This is for two reasons; one is that the toned muscles in your legs, stomach and back make you stand up straighter making you look taller and also the confidence that you have with your new physique just makes you less body conscious and therefore more body confident.
There will be a time (if you can sustain the gym for over a year) when you will feel restless and nervous if you do not visit the gym and burn off some energy. If you can get to this stage you really are at an advantage as hopefully the good gym habit with stick with you for the remainder of your life and give you a greater chance of healthy old age and increased mobility.
There can be no excuses for dropping out of the gym. It’s just a question of priorities. Decide which are the most important things in your life and whether your health and fitness are high enough on it and you should realise that the temptations and distractions that normally prevent you from getting exercise are just not worth it.
