using illegally manufactured Chinese medicines could result in heart problems

The health authorities in Taiwan have recently made the claim that 92% of Chinese medicines that they examined contained banned substances. The extraordinary claim was made by the Secretary General Chen Ching-jun in a televised news conference. He went on to say that many of these banned substances were found in so called traditional or herbal weight loss medications that were being extensively produced in China.

Taiwanese Say That Most Exported Chinese Medicine Is Fake

The Taiwanese Department of Health has been conducting examinations on medication coming from China over the last two years and out of 151 medicines that they looked at they saw that 139 of them did not pass the required tests and contained illegal compounds.

As a result Chen Ching-jun said that Taiwan would not remove the ban that it has in place on any imports of Chinese manufactured medication, nevertheless he was aware that many people in Taiwan still get their hands on these unsafe and dangerous Chinese medications from illegal imports. The Director General of the Taiwanese Department of Health’s Bureau of Food and Drug Analysis said that people must not buy any Chinese medicine when they travel to China or by any other means.

Other health officials noted that using these illegally manufactured Chinese medicines could result in heart problems and even be fatal. Many of these weight loss medications coming out of China actually contained the active ingredient of a drug called Reductil. Reductil is a very popular appetite suppressant but it can interact dangerously with people who have heart problems or high blood pressure. The manufacturers of the illegal medication from China do not make any mention of the fact that they are adding the Reductil drug to their products and say that they are completely natural and harmless.

At Ukmedix News we have become aware that you need to be extremely wary of any weight loss product that is not prescribed by a doctor as there are so many dangerous products on the market today.
