In some medical circles a discussion continues about which is the best was to go about losing weight, is it with diet or is it with exercise? Some people argue that the most important thing for weight loss this exercise because it increases your metabolic rate and builds up your muscles so that you can burn extra calories throughout the day and thus extra energy is not turned into fat storage. Other people argue that the best thing is to lower the amount of food that you eat and say that exercise is of secondary importance to diet.

The way we see it at Ukmedix news is this... Exercise is extremely beneficial for health and if you make sure that you get regular exercise you will tone up your body, get your heart and lungs in good shape and have the luxury of eating a little bit more everyday without putting on weight. If you build up your muscles from exercise you will gain a better posture, you will be able to run further and you will have a general feel of well being.
Exercise has also shown to be extremely good for focusing the mind and enabling people to think clearly. If you make it a point to exert yourself every day you should rid yourself of stress and many people report a feeling of positive mental energy and attitude after exercising. There is much to be said for that feeling of accomplishment and feeling very good about yourself after exercise that can really motivate you and keep you focused on losing weight. If you just reduce the amount of calories that you eat every day you are unlikely to feel the same feeling of motivation and energy that is achieved with both diet and exercise.
Some people, (especially very obese people) say that they are too overweight to go and get exercise. Often what this means is that they feel embarrassed to enter into the gym because of their size and thus they achieve very little weight loss with diet alone. Our advice at Ukmedix News would be that you go for a fast walk every day if you are obese and you will gain a big advantage over those obese people who are just dieting alone. Obese people also have to exert more effort to walk around the park for example than a normal weight person because of the extra load that they are carrying so a twenty minute fast walk for an obese person can burn a lot of calories.
Diet and exercise go hand in hand and if you want to be both thin and healthy you should make sure that you do both.
