More news about the dangers of buying slimming pills and diet drugs from the Internet has come to the Ukmedix Newsroom from The United Nations International Narcotics Control Board. They say that women are risking their lives and their health by purchasing these pills and drugs that have no proper clinical testing and records. They also warned that some of the appetite suppressants sold online have been shown to be addictive with constant use.

The head of the International Narcotics Control Board highlighted the case of a Brazilian supermodel who died after having taken slimming medication and who had been reduced to anorexia after not eating properly. Illegal slimming drugs that are being nicknamed anorectics have become much more widely spread since the rise of the Internet and many millions of women use them often with very little idea of their side effects.
Some of the drugs like phentermine and fenproporex that are sold online have been known to have killed some women. We have received reports of men and women who have suffered form panic attacks, violent behaviour, mental problems breathing difficulties and comas from using fake weight loss drugs.
It is the sincere belief of the Ukmedix Newsroom that weight loss medications should only be used after a proper consultation by a doctor and only when the side effects if the drugs are fully understood. What is worrying is that around 50% of dieting women in the UK claim to have used some form of diet medication when trying to lose weight. While the statistics are not available it is suspected that around half of these did not go to a doctor or get a consultation before they did so meaning that they bought them online or illegally.
Ukmedix understands that some women find it embarrassing and humiliating to go and see a doctor about their weight and that is why buying drugs on the Internet are so popular. What women often don’t realise is that it is possible to get quality online consultations with a doctor and also buy weight loss medications like Acomplia, Xenical and Reductil that are EMEA approved and that have been subjected to proper clinical trials. It's just not worth risking your health for illegal weight loss medication when you can get legal weight loss medication easily.
