At Ukmedix News we advise that you make a review of your lifestyle

The Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust is putting together an initiative to get people to lose weight after the statistics show that almost 2/3 of people living in the county are overweight and that 18,000 individuals are morbidly obese meaning that they have a BMI of 40 plus. The message that they are giving out to people living in Derbyshire is that doing simple things like making sure that you take the stairs at lunchtime everyday instead of using the lift at work could really make a big difference to your weight and really improve your health.

Little Things Can Make A Big Difference

At Ukmedix News we are great believers in doing little things and we have seen how people who make small changes in their lives such as walking to work everyday instead of getting the bus or driving can really lose weight and get healthy. The Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust say that by just walking up the stairs every day will burn a considerable amount of calories and if it is repeated every day a few times the numbers will add up and you may start to notice a change in your weight.

Walking to work can be not only good for your physical health but could also improve your cognitive process. A twenty minute walk before work every day will clear your mind and can be used to formulate what you are going to achieve at work so that you can come up with strategies and plans. Many of the UK’s top businessmen claim that many of their brilliant ideas come when they are jogging on a treadmill or doing some exercise. Different research projects have shown that cognitive function is improved after and during exercise.

At Ukmedix News we advise that you make a review of your lifestyle and workout where there are easy changes that you can implement so that you get more physical activity every day. People who start to get exercise tend to begin to feel positive about themselves and their health and therefore naturally progress to eating more healthily.
