There are so many different reasons why should you lose weight! The majority of people who embark on diets are primarily motivated by the fact that being overweight makes them look unpleasant. Everybody has a certain amount of vanity and everybody wants to look good and this is the overriding factor for the motivation to diet all around the world.

Many overweight people who have struggled to lose weight and have failed in their attempts get used to being overweight and then claim that they don’t mind being overweight and that they feel comfortable like this, however in most cases this is just not true.
If you need more motivation for losing weight you should consider how using weight could really change your life! Whether you like it or not being of a normal weight means that people will take you more seriously and if you are single you are more likely to find a partner to settle down with than if you are overweight.
If you are overweight you are likely to have a lower self esteem and less confidence which will effect all of your personal relationships. Being thin gives you peace of mind and helps to relax you in stressful situations. Many overweight and obese people are do not realise how their weight problem is affecting all aspects of their lives from their health to their relationships with work colleagues and friends.
You must be honest and forthright about your weight problem if you want to do something about it. Sometimes the process of dealing with the psychological implications of your excess weight can be painful and distressing however nothing beats the feeling of achievement that you get when you lose weight and you finally get control of that aspect of your life.
There is no time like to present! Take the bull by the horns and work out a plan to lose weight carefully and for the long term. Avoid any short term weight loss gimmicks and make a promise to yourself that for the rest of your life you will be thin and healthy.
