At Ukmedix News we believe in eating natural products...

Research done at the University of Glasgow shows that if you have a surplus of fat (lipids) in your stomach this could lower the protective abilities of certain antioxidants. Vitamin C for example which contains ascorbic acid can greatly assist in stopping the formation of compounds that could cause cancer and this new research shows that excess fat is responsible for hindering the effects of the Vitamin C.

Fat In Your Stomach Can Negate Antioxidants

It has been aware for some time that being overweight or obese can greatly increase the chances of you getting certain cancers and this research opens up a whole new library of knowledge about what actually causes the cancers. Over the last twenty years the number of individuals who suffer from cancer of the stomach has been increasing and it is thought that diet is a major part of this. For example a compound called nitrite which occurs naturally in our diet is suspected be a carcinogen but provided that you have a good dose of antioxidants such as Vitamin C, this potentially harmful compound will be converted into harmless nitric oxide (NO).

The big increase in the amount of processed and manufactured food that we tend to eat today in our daily diets is very probable to be a major cause of the increase in many different types of cancer that plague people in the UK today. Being overweight or obese is a major cause of many different illnesses such as cardio disease and diabetes, however many people are unaware that by being obese and overweight they are also increasing the chances of themselves getting cancer. Another problem for overweight and obese people is that they do not respond as effectively to cancer treatments as normal weight individuals thus putting themselves in an even higher risk of death from cancer.

At Ukmedix News we believe in eating natural products as much as possible and keeping away from all processed food which sometimes contains colouring, preservatives and other chemicals that are known not to be good for you.
