WCRF Warns Of Cancer Catastrophe Scenario

an increased likelihood of practically every single health condition there is

Professor Martin Wiseman speaking on behalf of the World Cancer Research Fund recently announced that it is expected that the rates of individuals suffering from cancer are set to rise because of the huge numbers of people becoming obese. He said that the link between obesity and cancer was “stronger than ever” and that a third of most cancers would be avoided if people paid attention to their weight.

WCRF Warns Of Cancer Catastrophe Scenario

In the United Kingdom it is estimated that if people get their BMI at a normal level of under 25 the number of cancer cases would be reduced by almost 19,000 annually. The number of men and women suffering from cancer of the bowel, kidney, oesophagus, breast, pancreas, gall bladder and womb would all greatly reduce and take a huge burden of health care off the National Health Service.

The recommendations from the World Cancer Research Fund are that people should take more exercise and eat healthily which sadly is being ignored by a huge segment of the British population. Being overweight is not just an indicator for increased rates of cancer but is also responsible for higher rates of heart disease, strokes, arterial illnesses such as erectile dysfunction and an increased likelihood of practically every single health condition that there is.

Ukmedix News knows that it difficult to lose weight especially with so much unhealthy food in supermarkets and restaurants today but the consequences of ignoring your health and staying overweight are severe and will eventually catch up with you in the form of an obesity related disease.

Many people are unaware of the link between increased rates of cancer and obesity and like to believe that cancer is mainly caused by smoking. While smoking obviously greatly increases cancer rates one research project we published at Ukmedix News likened being overweight to an increased health risk from cancer of smoking 10 cigarettes a day and being obese to smoking 20 cigarettes a day.

Sex is good for you. It makes you lose weight and is linked to lower rates of prostate and other cancers...
