Research shows that it is not the famous midnight snack which makes the majority of people on a diet fail in their attempts to lose weight. A group of researchers claim that the temptation to snack on a fatty unhealthy food item peaks in the mid afternoon. In fact they said it was exactly 3.23pm which was the most dangerous time, [how they came to that exact conclusion we are not sure?].

watch out its 3.23pm...

The survey involved interviewing 1,250 dieters and specifically asking them when and how their diets failed. The majority of them [62%] broke their diet eating plans in the middle of the afternoon, 22 percent said that they fell off the bandwagon late at night and 16 percent said that they were tempted in the morning.

Over half of all the dieters said that stress was the reason for not sticking to their diets, just over ? said that it was boredom at work which made them fail and eight percent put the blame on others for making them break their good intentions.

According to Linda O'Byrne, a nutritionist involved in this study they came up with the exact time of 3.23m by pooling together all of the different times that people said they failed in their weight loss attempts and then making an average time.

Most people know when their weakest eating moments are and therefore if you are trying to lose weight it is important to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied so that you don't fall into eating traps. If your work mates bring in a cake every day at the same time why not make sure you have a strong cup of green tea and maybe an apple which should curb your appetite half an hour before so that your self control won't be compromised.

Be careful of making too many excuses for your failed weight loss attempts because people who make excuses for their failures often remain overweight all their lives.

Very informative article, but do you really think that eating and apple and drinking strong tea are a substitute for a cake or a chocolate??? Please give me your ideas!
