A lot of people who finally confront their fears and decide to take their lives into their own hands and lose weight talk about a particular moment when they realised that they just couldn't go on living with their obesity. For some people who are suffering from serious obesity related illnesses the wake up call comes too late for them but others talk about the moment when they realised that they had to start walking on a path to freedom.

A person who spoke to Ukmedix News recently spoke about how he was walking down the road and realised that everybody was staring at him and that his weight had started to mean that he was nothing more than a freak show, and that his only identity was his huge size. Other people panic far earlier on when they are only a few kilos overweight, such as one lady who realised that she was more than just a little overweight when her thighs started rubbing together when she walked.
Recently Ukmedix News came across the story of Mr and Mrs Alan Coupe who were on an airplane and were politely asked to move seats to redistribute the weight of the plane. Mr Coupe who tops the scales at 20 stone said he and his very obese wife were so embarrassed about the incident that they decided there and then to take drastic action to get their weight in check.
Since the incident on the plane which happened in April 2005, Mr. Coupe has lost 5st 13lb, and Mrs Coupe has lost 6st 5lb. They both say that they feel much more confident these days and don’t worry about being embarrassed when they travel. If you have an interesting story to tell about how you faced up to your weight situation and how you changed your life by losing weight you should share it on the Ukmedix forum. Hundreds of men and women have shared their experiences on the forum which inspires others (and could inspire you) to keep going and lose weight.
There is no reason why you yourself should not be slim. With some good weight loss advice and a little bit of determination you can make your daily life so much easier and more comfortable. The time to act is now, and don’t wait till it’s too late!
