Sometimes in life we are scared to take the first step. The future can seem to be a very daunting place and while our lives might not be perfect as they are, we are used to them and we don’t want to rock the boat. Sometimes life just flies by and we are too busy to do certain things which could greatly improve our quality of life and allow us to fulfil our full potential. The sad fact is that most of the people who are overweight and obese are not living their lives to the full and have resigned themselves to a lower quality of life forever.

It takes courage to take that first step to lose weight. The damage to our ego and confidence from the failure to lose weight is too much to bear and we would rather not try at all. Losing weight is not simple and it is not just a physical battle that we are dealing with but an intense psychological battle too. The rewards for success are great but also we must consider that the price for failure is a high one too.
Ukmedix News has spoken to literally hundreds of overweight and obese individuals who have struggled to shed weight in the past and who have just given up and accepted that they are the way that they are, however at Ukmedix News we want to tell these people using the words of Winston Churchill “Never Never Never Give Up.” You must never be demoralised by failure, you must always keep an eye on the end goal and remember that losing weight is something that you can do. If Manuel Uribe can lose weight then there is no reason why you can’t.
Making little changes in your lifestyle every day can translate into a big change in your weight over a few months. All you need is a little bit of motivation, willpower and simple dietary advice. We know what it’s like to be obese at Ukmedix News, some of us have been there too. Stick with it and let us know your weight loss stories as many others have already done on the Ukmedix Forum.

this is a very encouraging article, one has to think of weight loss as a day by day thing. If you mess up one day don't think it is the end for you, it is not, you can keep going the next day. Negative thinking will push us into a downword spiral. We don't need that we need to encourage one another.

It's true we must never give up. It is harder for some than for others, but it is never impossible! We must keep going even if we have made mistakes in the past.

we need a POSITIVE PAGE where people can sign up and read positive things. We would all help each other as we are all in the same situation.
