Ukmedix News Low Down On Oprah Winfrey's Weight Gain

At Ukmedix News we have two theories...

What is Oprah Winfrey’s problem? How is it that despite being a multimillionaire, being able to employ personal trainers, nutritionists and healthy eating cooks she still can’t maintain her weight. If she can’t keep the weight off, then there is no hope for normal people like us who have to make much more of an effort to eat healthily and get professional help at the gym.

Ukmedix News Low Down On Oprah Winfrey

Not only this, but Oprah also has thousands of followers who were inspired by her weight loss stories on her chat show who will now be extremely disappointed that their idol is not practicing what she has been preaching for years.

At Ukmedix News we have two theories.

Theory Number One is that Oprah Winfrey put on weight deliberately so that she would generate publicity for her chat shows which have made her weight the most talked about in America. There’s no doubt that the viewing figures for her show will have been greatly enhanced by all the publicity surrounding her recent weight gain.

Theory Number Two is that Oprah still just does not get it when it comes to maintaining weight. It is possible that she is a person who belives that in order to lose weight your whole life has to be some sort of diet, and she is unable to appreciate that there is a happy medium where you can eat healthily and at the same time eat foods that you enjoy in moderation.

It is likely that she falls into the category of people who plan their weight loss the over the next few months rather than accepting that their eating plans are for life. She also has made the mistake of losing weight too drastically and quickly which almost always creates a backlash of unhealthy eating when target weights are reached. She has confessed to having used high protein liquid shakes and starving herself and this is part of her problem.

The advice from the Ukmedix News team to Oprah Winfrey is that she should come up with some healthy eating guidelines which she will commit to for the rest of her life. We would also recommend that she does not weigh herself too often and that she doesn’t document every single pound of weight loss as this will encourage her to eat unhealthily again when she hits her target weight.

Whatever the reason for Oprah’s weight gain another thing she should remember is that as she gets older it will become more and more difficult for her to shed the pounds easily.

Didn't Oprah start gaining the weight when her long time partner and she broke up?

And yes, it is harder to lose weight as we get older. Generally, our thermostat slows down a bit, our hormones change & usually our activity tends to slow a little; although there are exceptions.

You also move around less as you get older. You don't see old people legging it up the stairs do you...
