The Time Is NOW...Summer Is Coming

Long term goals on weight loss produce more consistent and permanent results

If you are serious about having that body that you always dreamed of for the beach in summer now is the time to act! It is no good waiting for a month or two before your summer holiday starts because it will be too late then. Getting fit and healthy and losing those extra pounds should take at least for five months.

The Time Is NOW...Summer Is Coming

You can take the easy way out and just starve yourself before your holiday but this will ultimately be self destructive as you will surely put on the weight on again when you are on holiday or just after it. Fluctuating weight is not only unhealthy but also bad for your body image overall.

If you have battled with weight loss your entire life one of the things that you could do is go down to the gym and talk to a personal trainer and be honest with him or her about what your goals are.  Tell them honestly that you want to look good on the beach this summer and don’t be afraid to talk about previous failed attempts at weight loss. Personal trainers may have had weight loss battles in the past themselves and are likely to be sympathetic to your plight.

Long term goals on weight loss produce more consistent and permanent results than short term goals and you should never attempt to lose a lot of weight over a short time.

If you leave your weight loss until just a month before your holiday you might look OK in that bikini but you are unlikely to look amazing. If you need a little bit of motivation try to visualise that feeling of embarrassment that you feel when you take off your clothes on the beach. Try also to visualise and think about how good you’ll feel when you can confidently strut your stuff without having to cover up the whole time.

The time to make a plan is now!  Summer is coming…

great article, it is very encouraging, we need to read these things, I have failed several times but I still need to be encouraged to start again and know that I am not alone and that is it not impossible.
