The Bomb Has Exploded

When will Gordon Brown finally wake up?

The Independent Newspaper has claimed that the number of obesity related deaths in the United Kingdom has risen by over a third in the last six years. These incredible statistics seemed to show that the obesity time bomb which everybody has been talking about is already upon us.

The Bomb Has Exploded

The Independent claims that obesity is being given as a reason for death on far more death certificates these days than previously. The number of people dying from heart disease, diabetes and blood clots all of which are related to obesity has risen hugely over the last few years.

There is also speculation that many of the obesity related deaths are not properly noted on death certificates and therefore the full extent of the obesity epidemic cannot be properly quantified. Politicians have been quick to jump on the bandwagon and accuse the ruling Labour Party of being useless and complacent about dealing with the health of the nation.

At Ukmedix News we have stated time and time again that not enough is being done to educate people in the United Kingdom about the dangers to their health from obesity. By not investing in obesity reducing initiatives the United Kingdom is headed for a major obesity crisis which will have a big effect on the economy and on the productivity of the UK overall. The National Health Service which is already under a huge amount of strain will be further subjected to having to deal with thousands of people who have become ill because of their weight.

When will Gordon Brown finally wake up? When will the Health Secretary Alan Johnson come up with some concrete and revolutionary plans to change? What are they waiting for and how bad does it have to get before they act?

It is sad to see how obesity is taking so many lives. = ( This article shows that obesity is a silent killer and it attacks when we least expect it. This is the reason why we need to be more conscious about our lifestyle.

I’m sure a lot of the obese population become ill more often and easy than a regular size person, but if this is the case, why obese people keep the same lifestyle even when they know how f=dangerous it can be for them. Unfortunately this is a worldwide issue that is also affecting little kids.

Unfortunate little children whose parents are not health concious will suffer more than others as they will grow up to think that way of eating is normal, they will only try to do something about it when they grow up and realise that they are obese. very sad!
