Getting onto a treadmill after a whole day's work and running on the spot for half an hour can be one of the most demoralising and boring things you can possibly do. If you sympathize with this statement you are definitely doing the wrong form of exercise and you are setting yourself up to fail in any exercise related weight loss attempt. There is a lot of strength in numbers and in team bonding exercises.

We're not suggesting that you join a football team but you could get together two or three friends and share the cost of a personal trainer to give you a few hours work out every week. Having a trainer working with you as well as introducing a slight competitive edge with your buddies will boost your calorie burning rate by as much as two or three times.
Doing medium strength exercises which get you out of breath while at the same time improving your posture, flexibility and overall strength is probably the best type of exercise around.
Take the initiative to get your friends involved in personal training classes, you'll be able to joke around, compare notes and swap tips. You can complain about your aches and pains together and you'll actually look forward to the sessions.
In the same way that you must not dread meal times you should not be dreading going to get exercise. For example if it's pouring with rain outside, whatever you do don't go running.
Some people are put off the idea of getting personal training because of the expense and reckon that it is much better to just join a gym but if you end up hardly ever turning up and you end not losing weight then it is a false economy.
So find a trainer, get your friends together and make a difference to your life!
