Summer Is No Reason To Put On Weight

It is obviously important to enjoy yourself

Everybody gets into a big panic before summer to lose weight and to get into shape, but the real problem that many people have is that summer living makes them put on weight again! Lying by a swimming pool, eating ice creams, drinking cocktails at night and generally living life for the full can make you lose the shape which you have worked so hard to get.

Summer Is No Reason To Put On Weight

It is obviously important to enjoy yourself, but there is no reason to throw away months of hard work in a matter of weeks. It is possible by making small changes in your lifestyle to keep healthy right the way through the summer months. For example rather than lying by the pool all day make a concerted effort to swim lengths. It doesn’t take long to do say twenty lengths of a swimming pool three or four times a day and you’ll hardly notice the effort. If you are staying by the sea or the beach you could water ski or play volleyball to burn calories. Just make sure that you are doing something every day.

Because you are on holiday does not mean that you should throw away your previous healthy lifestyle. We’re not saying that you should just stick to boring food but there is no harm in having a salad at least once a day and keeping to small portions. Is it really necessary to eat twice as much just because you are on holiday?  Being sensible without being frugal and boring is the way forward to maintain your weight loss on holiday. Think of how hard you worked to get slim before you indulge yourself on that extra ice cream.

Probably the best bit of advice we can give you at Ukmedix News is to stay away from high calorie fizzy drinks. Stick to sparkling water with a dash of fresh lemon and over time you will see a big reduction in your daily calorie intake.

Remember you’ll enjoy your holiday much more and have more fun if you are thin and you stay that way!
