Summer’s coming but it’s not too late! If you need to lose a few pounds and get in shape for the beach you need to start right now though and don’t leave it a moment later. Make a commitment to exercise which includes a good mix of cardio and strength training at least a few times a week.

If you are unsure what to do, get some help from the staff in the gym and explain what your goals are. Don’t be embarrassed or shy to talk about what you are trying to achieve and tell them that you are prepared to work hard for good results. There’s nothing more than gym instructor likes then dealing with motivated and focused people and your motivation will motivate him or her to help you.
Think of yourself on the beach and try and remember the good moments when you felt confident in your skin and the bad moments when you were embarrassed and felt awkward about the way you looked. Thinking about these things just before you eat and also when you are deciding whether to go and work out should tip the balance in favour of you making a good decision.
Another good tip from Ukmedix News is to write down your target weight and stick it on the fridge door and in other places where you have access to food. (Even write it on your hand!) Visualise this number and say to yourself every single day before you make food choices. If your target weight is for example 65 kilos make sure you think about this magic number at least ten times a day and especially when making a decision about what to eat or whether to run an extra ten minutes on the treadmill.
You’ll find that focusing on a clear and concise target will motivate you and prevent you from making excuses and trying to worm your way out your personal weight commitments. You know what your target is, nobody else needs to know and the only person who is going to judge whether you succeeded or failed is you!
So what are you waiting for? Get on it!!
