you can do this when you eat out at restaurants too

At Ukmedix News we love positive thoughts and proactive diets and that is why we are giving the thumbs up to recent advice coming from the world famous Pritikin Longevity Center & Spa based in Miami, America. Dr Jay Kenney who is the Nutrition Research Specialist at Pritikin advocates that you should concentrate on eating food with a low calorie density so that you can eat a larger volume to fill up your stomach but not actually load yourself up with calories which then have to be burnt off.

Proactive Pritikin Says Go Low Density

The most obvious foods which have low calorie densities are fruit and vegetables and if you make a point of eating these with your meals you will be able to shed pounds without having to suffer from hunger pangs all the time.

At Ukmedix News we also advocate that the simple diet tips are the best ones and one which we particularly like from Pritikin is that the advice which is to always make a point of eating a big salad before your main meals. The beauty of this diet tip is that you can do this when you eat out at restaurants too when the temptation to overeat is greatest.

How great it is to get some advice to help you lose weight which tells you to do something rather then not to do something. Other types of food which have a low calorie density include potatoes, whole-wheat pasta, brown rice, beans, certain seafood and lean poultry meat. By concentrating on low calorie density food you’ll be able to eat large healthy meals and get rid of hunger for good.  If you are careful about what you eat you’ll be able to eat exactly the same amount of food quantity and at the same time lose weight.

In a recent research project done by the Pennsylvania State University the advantages of eating a low calorie dense diet were confirmed. Over 600 overweight men and women were analysed by Doctor Jenny Ledikwe and her colleagues and the best results were observed in those who changed the calorie density of their diets and the worst results were observed in those who did not lower the calorie density in their diets.

I lost 60lbs working at Pritikin following their advice, I was not a participant there during my working time there I saw a couple of people lose 200, 300lbs and over. It really works and is so healthy. Well done ukmedix for bringing this to the attention of many.

When I first got to pritikin a was really skeptical about the whole concept, but the first week I lost 12 pounds, I couldn't believe it!! so I decided to stay for two months. The program was great, they have a bunch of people taking care of me... in total I lost 76 pounds.
