your quality of life will improve drastically and immediately.

Research presented to the European Congress on Osteoporosis & Osteoarthritis in Valencia, Spain shows that women who are obese are more likely to suffer from lower leg fractures, ankle fractures and upper arm fractures. The research also showed that 23% of obese women had some form of fracture after the age of 44.

obesity leads to broken bones

The reason why obese people are more likely to suffer from broken bones is twofold. Firstly their increased weight makes it much more difficult for them to move around and therefore they are more likely to trip and stumble and secondly because they carry so much weight they are more likely to fall hard. Imagine walking around with an extra 30 or 40 kilos in weight on your body. Not only would it greatly impact on your quality of life but it would have a detrimental effect on your mobility.

If you are young the chances are that you will recover pretty quickly from a fall but the older you get the more likely your bones are to be brittle and the more likely that you will not recover fully. don't get used to being overweight and obese and do something about it sooner rather than later.  There's no reason why you have to have aches and pains, have difficulty getting dressed in the morning, be unable to put your socks on and generally have a situation where little job becomes a major event.

Keeping slim is the best thing you can do for old age. If you want to have a pleasant and active retirement you need to make sure that you're not carrying any extra weight. If you ignore this advice you'll probably live to regret it. It's never too late to lose weight.  Even if you've been overweight all of your life you can make the change now and your quality of life will improve drastically and immediately.

I am Italian living in USA and am very overweight, I have broken both ankles and my wrist, but I never thought it was from my weight I just thought I had brittle bones. I think I had better do something about it now.
