under social and media pressure to keep their figure in shape

A research project conducted by My Health Coach which is a “weight management” game produced by the electronics manufacturer Nintendo shows that in the United Kingdom almost all women say that they diet but 60 percent of them say that none of the diets that they have used has actually worked. The survey showed that only five percent of women in the UK report saying that they never think about losing weight or dieting.

Other statistics show that fourteen percent of women think about dieting on a weekly basis and twelve percent of women consider dieting and starting a new eating regime every single day. Nearly half of all the women surveyed said that they felt under social and media pressure to keep their figure in shape which was not easy.

While practically all women want to be thinner than they are just over half of them said that they did not have the motivation to actually discipline themselves enough to make losing weight a reality. More than 30 percent of women said that they did not exercise at the same time as dieting and this probably is the reason why many of them failed in losing weight.

Exercise is not only important for burning calories but it can make you feel better about yourself and this in turn motivates you to continue with your diet. The exercise also builds up the muscles which means that you burn more calories even when you are not actually exercising.

The first thing you should remember is that it is not easy to lose weight but the rewards for losing weight greatly outweigh the hassles and efforts required. If you get in shape it will make you feel good about yourself all the time and it will give you are much better quality of life.

So bite the bullet, be honest about your eating and exercise habits and make weight loss a reality.
