The health authorities in Canada have issued yet another warning regarding the use of diet supplements which are being sold online in health shops around the world. These products which are advertised as weight loss products have been found to contain undeclared ingredients some of which are similar to the active ingredient of the weight loss medication Reductil.

The products in question have names such as Sugar-Carbohydrate Cut, Carbohydrate Cut and Fat Killer and a list of serious side effects has been reported when using them. Both men and women have complained of stomach and chest pains, mood swings and severe cramps all over the body. The Department of Health in Hong Kong has also issued warnings regarding a weight loss product called Kalomee which was recently tested in a laboratory and found to contain a doctored version of sibutramine, (Reductil).
Reductil which is a perfectly safe medicine if it is used by the right people can have a number of side effects if used by wrong people. The use of the illegally manufactured and doctored versions of Reductil is quite frankly stupid and potentially extremely dangerous. By taking this altered Reductil you are putting your health at risk unnecessarily. It is very easy to get a prescription and an online checkup for real branded versions of diet medication and there’s no reason why you should gamble with your health by buying untested and unregulated medication.
Ukmedix has campaigned consistently for stricter penalties for people who sell fake and dangerous slimming medications online and under the counter in health shops. Dangerous slimming drugs are also sold sometimes in health centres and gyms. At Ukmedix News we recently heard of a healthy young man who was hospitalised after taking slimming medication and going for run. His heartbeat went over 200 beats per minute and would not return to a normal level for hours and it was only when he admitted to using illegal diet medications that the doctors were able to work out what was wrong with him.
It really is not worth the risk, you might save a few pounds but you could end up risking your life.
