but also has another chemical called spironolactone

Following on from reports that manufacturers of illegal weight loss medication have been adding the chemical phenolphthalein to their various natural sounding products it is now apparent that a new batch of slimming products have hit the market which contain even more dangerous chemicals. The reports coming from Canada has advised men and women not to take two different products called Xin Yi Dai and Lasmi because they contain a number of different compounds which are not listed on the packaging or on the labeling.

Xin Yi Dai which is also named “Natural” is far from that as it contains the prescription medication sibutramine as well as the aforementioned  phenolphthalein.  Phenolphthalein at one point had been used as a common ‘no prescriptions required’ laxative, but following reports that it could be responsible for cancer it was withdrawn from most markets. Side effects of using the phenolphthalein drug include acute pancreatitis and organ damage such as liver failure.

The other product Lasmi also contains sibutramine but also has another chemical called spironolactone which is used to help people who suffer from excess fluid retention. Spironolactone is a prescription medication and should not be taken unless you have been examined carefully by doctor. It definitely should not be taken in illegal weight loss medication as it has a whole list of side effects which include breast enlargement in men, gastrointestinal discomfort and even some reproductive disorders.

It seems that every month criminal manufacturers in China and India come up with new chemicals to put into their natural sounding weight loss medication. They have no concern for the health of the people who use it, many of whom turn to these medications after doctors have advised them not to use the prescription weight loss medication Reductil because it is not suitable for them.

For the majority of obese people Reductil is a safe and effective medication but a doctor’s prescription and advice is always required.
