Mind Games We Play With Ourselves

Have you ever visited a restaurant and ordered a side salad with a fatty meal as a way of making yourself feel less guilty about eating the main meal. Somehow by eating a little bit of salad on the side along with a cheeseburger you give the impression that you are being healthy and calorie conscious.

Now there’s nothing wrong with eating a cheeseburger, and having a salad alongside is probably better than not having the salad at all but you should be careful and honest with yourself about what you are eating. One recent survey which was conducted in New York came up with an interesting finding that when two Trans Fat Free Fortt crackers were added to a heavy meal people were led to believe that the meal had less calories than when they were presented exactly the same meal without the low fat crackers.
In the same way other research has been done which makes clear that people who eat low fat snacks often consume greater quantities of them and thus eat more calories than they would if they had stuck to the normal fat snack.
The secret of eating healthily is to make sure that you get your healthy part of the meal at the beginning. If you order a salad make sure that you eat it before you eat the main meal so that some of your hunger pangs are quelled with healthy food and so that you are less tempted to overeat later on.
One effective weight loss tip is to eat an apple or some other fruit about twenty minutes before eating lunch or dinner so that you don’t feel so hungry when you sit down. It is sometimes simple things like this which can make the difference between you being slim and trim or overweight.

I sat down and thought about this and its blooming true!
If I was dringking normal coke I'd probably have 2 cans a day- but with Diet drink like 6!
And when I eat low calorie stuff I always eat more...
The apple trick sounds like a good one and also I drink lots of water now which helps.
