Hanging out with people who are weight conscious can have an impact on your weight without you even realizing!

Recently an Ukmedix News researcher went on holiday with a group of friends, all of whom work out regularly in the gym and who live healthy active weight conscious lives. The researcher, who admits to being just a little bit overweight said she had an amazing holiday and said the great thing was that when she came back home and stood on the scales she had lost 4lb. in just ten days! She said that she had gone out partying on a number of evenings, eaten in loads of different restaurants and not consciously done any exercise but despite this she had lost weight.
There's no doubt that because she had very weight conscious people around her they influenced her without her really realizing. Brilliant eh? Losing weight with absolutely no conscious effort while living life to the full!
Another Ukmedix team member recently spoke about how his father went on a diet and because he often ate at home for lunch he joined in with whatever was being placed on the table. Two weeks later he had lost two kilos without even trying.
How many times have you heard people complaining that the reason they put on weight was because their friends "make them eat too much". Both men and women like to blame their other halves for their weight gain and if one of you eats a lot it becomes more difficult to eat healthily because you are constantly faced with somebody eating large amounts of unhealthy food. In the same way that people trying to quit smoking should stay away from smokers, people trying to lose weight and maintain weight loss should stay away from big eaters.
If many of your friends are overweight take the initiative and order salads and low fat items in restaurants, let them know you are being health conscious and organize fun physical activities. You may end up getting all your friends thinner than you!
