Letting Go..Just A Bit

What you mustn’t do is completely throw healthy eating plans to the wind

It’s Christmas time and therefore it’s time to let go a little bit. There’s no way you’re going to get through the Christmas season without indulging a little bit, and people who don’t let themselves go a bit when faced with delicious food, good company and a festive atmosphere aren’t really much fun anyway.

Letting Go..Just A Bit

It’s not a bad thing to plan ahead so that you can take stock of when you are going to have a feast, and when you are going to miss the gym so that you can make up for it before and after. In the same way as people plan work holidays by putting in extra time before and after their time off, you must plan your ‘eating holidays’ too. Work out over the next couple of weeks when you will be able to get to the gym and try and fit these times just before and after occasions when you know there is going to be lots of delicious tempting food around.

What you mustn’t do is completely throw healthy eating plans to the wind because you will find it so much more difficult to get back on track again after the Christmas holidays. Just because there is a delicious Christmas cake does not mean you need to have two slices, and just because there are lots of chocolates around does not mean you have to eat the whole box. By all means let go a little bit but don’t completely lose the plot.

Focus on the positive aspects of looking good and feeling good rather than thinking about the pain of denying yourself lots of comfort food. Being in shape, healthy and fit is a much better and permanent feeling than any food can ever give you.

From all of us at the Ukmedix Newsroom, we wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year!

I think that if a country like UK allows fattening fast food to be sold, they have to take resposibility for their decisions and stock up on EXTRE LARGE AMBULANCES because this is going to be the trend unless they do something drastic about it ilke banning certain foods!
