Kim Kardashian Says Salads Are Healthy And Sexy

The celebrity Kim Kardashian has been busy promoting a new advertising campaign for the American restaurant chain called Carl's Jr. In particular she is promoting their healthy low fat and low calorie salads. Kim who is never out of the headlines said that at the moment she was all about being healthy and that they were perfect for her lifestyle. (Well, she was paid to say that!)

However what is becoming more apparent is that restaurant chains in both the UK and the US are realising that a good proportion of their customers are health conscious and therefore by advertising healthy and tasty low fat food options they can actually increase the number of customers and therefore boost their profits. Even food chains like McDonald’s and Burger King have woken up to the fact that they must cater for people who want to live healthily and thus healthy options have to be on the menu.
A word of warning however from Ukmedix News is that just because it is called a salad does not necessarily mean that it is low calorie! For example some salads come laden with fatty additives like coleslaw and thick sauces which boost the calorie content to the point where you might as well have had a burger. (You would have probably enjoyed it more too!) We don’t mean to be negative but just watch out and just remember that because it has a few lettuce leaves in it doesn’t always mean that it is low calorie.
At the end of the day you need to use your common sense when it comes to nutritional value. Allow yourself if you treat every now and again, make sure you load up with fruit and vegetables daily and get a bit of exercise to burn off those extra calories.
