Kevin Federline, one time boyfriend and husband of pop mega star Britney Spears has received a huge amount of media flak in recent years for his massive weight gain. He claims in a recent interview that he was able to lose weight after taking part in the VH1 TV program Celebrity Fit Club, Boot Camp. In a frank and open interview he said the reality show which required him to lose weight and get fit came with perfect timing because he was by his own admission “way overweight”.

What is interesting about Kevin Federline’s case is that his weight increased very quickly when he underwent a drastic lifestyle change. The divorce which made him depressed and the fact that he stopped working as a dancer and was staying at home all day made him by his own admission eat too much. Depression and sudden lifestyle changes makes it harder for you to eat healthily and you tend to make excuses for your excess eating based on your difficult situation.

If you want to lose weight or at least stop putting on weight you need to stop with the excuses straightaway. Yes, we understand at Ukmedix News that when you are in a tough emotional situation food is often a comfort zone, but it is an extremely dangerous one because it can get out of control as is evidenced clearly in the case of Kevin Federline. Even Britney Spears put on weight in this troublesome time and it was only when she got her head in order that she was able to get slim again.

The other thing to remember is that if you are going through a bad patch and you also have to deal with a weight problem at the same time you will only add to your depression and your feeling of helplessness. The best way to deal with stress related to emotional issues is to get down to the gym and get exercising.  Not only will it clear your mind and make you think more clearly but it’ll keep you from putting on weight and make you more likely to eat healthy food.
