Keep Going To Exercise Over Christmas

There is some form of exercise for everybody

Why is it that many people give up their exercise routines over Christmas? Just because it's a holiday period they somehow think that they can do what they want and indulge themselves in every way.

Well the way we see it at Ukmedix News is that exercise should not be considered to be a chore and something that you don't look forward to but you should learn to make it an intrinsic and fun part of your day. If the only reason you are going to the gym and working out is to keep yourself in shape and you don't enjoy being there and you don't feel some sort of satisfaction as you work out the chances are you won't last long.

There is some form of exercise for everybody and you should try all types of exercise before choosing a favourite one. For some people spinning is the answer whereas for others intense weight training is the way forward. You might for example find the gym extremely boring and prefer playing squash or team sports with friends.

Going to the gym only takes out about an hour and a half of your day but it will give you back so much more in terms of energy and mental clarity. Going to the gym over Christmas will allow you to indulge a little bit more over the Christmas season without putting on weight and also prevent you from breaking a healthy gym routine.

Yes, we appreciate that with the big freeze on in the UK and snow everywhere it could be difficult to get down to the gym but there's nothing stopping you from doing 100 sit ups, 100 press ups, 100 lunges and 100 star jumps at some point in the day.

So, turn on the music and burn some calories... and then go and enjoy yourself with a healthy and clear conscience!
