At Ukmedix we love Jaime Oliver

The celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is going to take America by storm by promoting his healthy eating and cooking in some of America’s unhealthiest places. The ABC network and the television producer Ryan Seacrest are working with Jamie to produce 6 hours of footage which it is hoped will have an impact on the unhealthy eating habits of America. The project which is still at the planning stage is likely to focus on cities which have been nominated as America’s fattest places and it is expected that the program will show sometime in 2010.

Jamie Oliver Going West

Jamie Oliver has already made a name for himself in the United Kingdom after he exposed exactly how unhealthy the majority of school food was and shamed the British government into making sweeping changes in school food. His TV documentary called Jamie's School Dinners was responsible for getting bans on junk food in school cafeterias. Ryan Seacrest who is a big celebrity name in America said that he was an advocate of healthy eating and getting good exercise and that is why he loved the idea of working with Jamie Oliver for this project. He also said he hoped that Jamie may be able to help people in America change their living and eating habits for the better.

At Ukmedix we love Jaime Oliver because of his positive and simple attitude to healthy eating. He makes healthy eating fun and tasty and proves that keeping things simple and natural is the best way forward. Everything he produces can be cooked by novices in the kitchen and there’s very little weighing and measuring of complicated ingredients.

Jamie has been credited with turning the United Kingdom into a nation of amateur chefs and creating a great interest in cooking not just among housewives but also in young and old men and women. At Ukmedix we wish Jamie the best of luck in America.
