Good for you Jack! The Hollywood Comedian and actor Jack Black has made a pledge to lose a whopping 50lbs in weight by the end of 2011. Jack Black who is now 41 years old said that he would stick to a very strict fitness and exercise lifestyle to deal with his growing waistline.

Jack who has recently been busy attending premieres for his new film Gullivers Travels said that the first thing which would be removed from his diet were quarter pounders with cheese. He jokingly said that he would lose weight by doing push ups and sit ups and by sticking to a "strict diet of raisins".
We've written about Jack before at Ukmedix News in connection with his decision to quit smoking and as far as we know he's managed to stick to his pledge to be smoke free. Probably part of the reason why he is struggling with his weight is connected to him quitting smoking.
What Jack really needs to do to get into peak physical fitness is to hire a personal trainer who can motivate and educate him into becoming slim. With his short legs Jack doesn't look like the running type and he probably hasn't been down to the gym for a decade or two, so a push from a professional personal trainer looks like it could really help.
Jack who is now married to the musician Tanya Haden has two young sons and he should read up about healthy eating and nutrition so that he doesn't pass on his bad eating habits to his children. Research shows that parents who smoke and to eat unhealthily are likely to have children who do the same.
Jack should also find that losing weight and getting fit will be a big boost for his film career and who knows if he sticks to his 50lb. weight loss pledge he may even get a leading man part!!
